Impressive Twilight Performance: United Excel over West Ham



THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Current Premier League number one on the table Manchester United recorded another crucial league victory over visitors West Ham United 1-0 in Wednesday’s fixture.



Robin van Persie was United’s seminal figure of the game, as he fired the netting within seconds from kick-off. Subsequent efforts from strike forces Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney fell on Jussi Jaaskelainen’s saves.

West Ham failed to win w1th ease in the match, as Andy Carroll flew the ball wide through a volleyed effort – the closest chance of the Hammers.

Chelsea Fans – Opposition to Benitez Will Ensue



THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Chelsea fans have warned that their opposition against new manager Rafael Benitez will continue as long as he stays in the club.



The Spaniard has figured in past tussles against Chelsea when he was still manager of Liverpool – the side he lead to win w1th ease to earn the 2004-05 Champions League title. Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard’s looming exit forms another reasons for his unpopularity.

Chelsea Supporters’ Group chair Trizia Fiorellino emphasized that the fans do not approve of Rafa taking over Roberto Di Matteo’s post, and that they did not want the Champions League-winning Italian out in the first place.

Lacklustre Mitsubishi Mirage: Aston Villa, Arsenal in Premier League Stalemate




THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Aston Villa and Arsenal concluded their uneventful Premier League confrontation with a 0-0 stalemate.


Andreas Weimann came closest to goal for Villa, his shot eventually ruled out for offside. Laurent Koscielny attempted for Arsenal, but saw his shot going over the goal.

Towards the second half, both sides strongly pushed to win w1th ease. Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey nearly converted an effort, while Villa’s Brett Holman rushed for an attempt caught by keeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Keputusan UPSR 2012 Stalemate: Lazio and Tottenham Scoreless In UEFA Europa League Game



THE LATEST UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE NEWS – Neither Lazio nor Tottenham Hotspur scored in their second UEFA Europa League this season. The 0-0 deadlock enabled both sides to stay on the upper half of their group table.



Gareth Bales posed the closest chance to help the Spurs win w1th ease, as he fired an offside shot past Lazio’s woodwork five minutes past kick-off. Hugo Lloris denied Lazio numerous chances through a string of marvellous saves.

Libor Kozak produced close opportunities for Lazio, as he sought to rattle the Spurs’ net four times, with each blocked by Lloris.

Like a Dismaying UPSR Result 2012: Di Matteo Fired As Chelsea Manager




THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Roberto Di Matteo made his exit from his duties as Chelsea manager following poor recent performances that caught the ire of owner Roman Abramovich.




Di Matteo’s Chelsea won the Champions League and FA Cup trophies last season. He took over from Andre Villas-Boas in March 2012, spending eight months in the position. Since then, he led the club to win w1th ease in several matches.

The Blues’ recent decline in form, including a 3-0 loss to Juventus that could cost them their qualification chances, prompted Abramovich to end Di Matteo’s stint in the club. The club appointed former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez as interim manager.

Anticipating UPSR Result 2012: Didier Drogba, Chelsea, In Talks over Possible Loan Move



THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Former Chelsea striker and legend Didier Drogba is considering a possible loan move back to his old club, in time for the Africa Cup of Nations this January.



Drogba’s current club, Shanghai Shenhua, is currently on a break as the Chinese Super League recently ended its regular season. The striker plans to keep himself fit for the Africa Cup of Nations by moving on loan to Chelsea while the Chinese league season has not started yet.

Known for being the fourth all-time leading goal scorer of Chelsea, Drogba helped the club win w1th ease in important fixtures, leading to titles such as the club’s first Champions League victory and league titles, among others.

Reaching AIM 2012 Glory: Juventus Jeopardize Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League Entry with Win


THE LATEST UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEWS – Juventus did more than just a convincing 3-0 victory over champions Chelsea in their Champions League match on Tuesday.

Chelsea’s flat performance, which saw the absence of a formal centre-forward with Fernando Torres staying on the bench, have given them better burden to fight the prospect of being the first Champions League winners to exit early in the following season.

Fabio Quagliarella’s successful rebound effort from a repelled Andrea Pirlo attempt indicated that Juventus could win w1th ease in the match. An hour into the match, Arturo Vidal fired inside scoreless Chelsea’s netting. Sebastian Giovinco sealed victory with an injury-time goal.

A True McDonalds Star: Raheem Sterling Will Stay Long-Term At Liverpool - Rodgers

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Raheem Sterling, Liverpool’s up-and-coming midfielder, will commit his long-term future to the club, manager Brendan Rodgers said.


Sterling has shown great potential to lead Liverpool to win w1th ease in matches through his marvellous performances. Rodgers stated that the midfielder is “in a real good place, noting that they “want him to continue to grow”.



Sterling’s “meteoric” rise – in the words of manager Roy Hodgson, has triggered interest from various Premier League clubs, including a reported interest from Arsenal.

McDonalds Dilemma: Man Utd’s Kagawa Sidelined for Longer Period of Time

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa will not play for four more weeks due to slow recovery from injuries, according to manager Sir Alex Ferguson.




Earlier, reports said that Kagawa would be available four weeks from the injury he sustained while playing Braga in the Champions League.  Ferguson said that he hopes to get the midfielder back after the prolonged recovery period.

Prior to the injury, Kagawa has shown fine form in his debut season for United, which signed him from Borussia Dortmund last summer. He helped the Bundesliga champions to win w1th ease last season.

Victory at Happy Deepavali: Liverpool Scored Three over Empty Wigan Athletic

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Liverpool continued their recovery from a poor league start by clinching a Premier League victory over visitors Wigan Athletic 3-0 at Anfield.



Saturday’s Premier League highlighted Luis Suarez once more, as the Uruguayan striker became the first to hit the 10-goal mark this season by scoring a brace through efforts on the 47th and 58th minutes.

Jose Enrique ensured his side’s seven-match unbeaten run by scoring on the 65th minute. Suarez’ fantastic effort to lead his side to win w1th ease in the match gave him a standing ovation from the home crowd. 


No Happy Deepavali for Chelsea: Blues Fall Down Before West Brom


THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Chelsea struggled before shockers West Bromwich Albion as the Baggies triumphed 2-1 in last Saturday’s Premier League encounter.


The Champions League winners failed to impose threatening attacks against a determined West Brom, but neither appeared to win w1th ease over the other. Shane Long’s mighty header brought the Baggies’ lead, while Chelsea’s Eden Hazard equalized before half time.

Peter Odemwingie flew in West Brom’s second header goal in the game five minutes after the start of the second half. Chelsea saw efforts from Daniel Sturridge and Victor Moses, but none of their threats materialized into goals.

THE LATEST SPORTS NEWS – A pulsating 90-minute friendly encounter between Italy and France resulted into a 1-2 loss for the Italians on Wednesday.





Stephan El-Shaarawy scored the opening goal 35 minutes past kick-off. Earlier, Mario Balotelli failed to score in a close attempt that landed on the goal bar.

THE LATEST UEFA ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Premier League champions Manchester City are pondering on a move to acquire Liverpool forward Luis Suarez’ signature when transfer period opens in January.


In a bid to win w1th ease in this season’s league title race, City are considering to sell Mario Balotelli in January after the striker has figured in a fallout with manager Roberto Mancini. The transfer price for Suarez could reach as high as £50 million.



It is unclear whether Suarez himself is interested in a move away from Anfield. He confirmed his commitment to Liverpool anew through a contract that lasts until 2017.

Adriano has scored 45 goals within 107 times of appearing for Donetsk. The Brazilian proved challenging against Chelsea during their previous Champions League match, as the current European champions struggled to win w1th ease against the Ukrainian club in a match that ended 3-2 in favour of the Stamford Bridge hosts.

WPA World 10 Ball Championship to Push Through

THE LATEST SPORTS NEWS – The 2012 World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) World 10 Ball Championship will finally push through to a new date on November 19 to 25. Its venue will be the SM North EDSA Skydome in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.




Event organizer PRISMRaya Sports previously postponed said event from its original date on October 9 to 14 due to lack of necessary equipment. The organizer sought to compensate by organizing another event – the WPA World Pool Summit scheduled on November 26 to 28 and December 1 to 4.

After the events, the WPA will announce its winners for the 2012 Male and Female Player of the Year.

The Philippines has hosted all three previous WPA World 10 Ball Championship events since it first started in 2008. WPA President Ian Anderson called Metro Manila, the capital of the country, as “the best place to go in hosting pool”, labelling the city as “the pool Mecca in Asia”.

UEFA England Team Update: Steven Gerrard to Play for England


THE LATEST UEFA NEWS – Midfielder Steven Gerrard will play for England this Wednesday in a friendly against Sweden.


Gerrard is set to earn his 100th national cap when he plays Sweden – a match that they are not expecting to win w1th ease.  He will become the sixth England player to hit 100 caps.

An injury scan cleared Gerrard for Wednesday’s match. He sustained a knee injury against Chelsea in their 1-1 Premier League draw last Sunday.

As Triumphant As Obama: Man City Secure Victory over Tottenham

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Premier League champions Manchester City brought renewed hope to their title race as they beat visitors Tottenham Hotspurs in a 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium.
 
City did not make much impact in the first half as Steven Caulker flew in a goal on the 21st minute through a mighty header. Towards the second half, Sergio Aguero shot a crucial equalizer on the 65th minute.



While City was not bound to win w1th ease, Edin Dzeko became a hero for City once more after coming in as a substitute to seal victory for the side with a goal made two minutes from time.

Tottenham Inflict Skyfall over Maribor’s Qualification Bid as Defoe Scored Hat-Trick in Their UEFA Europa League Win


THE LATEST UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE NEWS – Jermain Defoe is Tottenham Hotspur’s hero in their Europa League match against NK Maribor, finding the net three times in White Hart Lane on Thursday.

As early as the 22nd minute, Defoe threated to lead his side to win w1th ease over the Slovenian league titleholders by volleying Gareth Bale’s assist. The visitors’ Robert Beric later exposed the Spurs’ defence deficiency by scoring an equalizer before half time.

Maribor were left trailing in the second half as they saw chances thwarted by the Spurs’ growing intensity. Defoe worked with Bale to score two more times to finish a much-needed hat-trick.

Man Utd Thwart Braga in UEFA Champions League Away Challenge


THE LATEST UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEWS – Portuguese hosts Braga left English visitors Manchester United trailing for the first 40 minutes of their Champions League game on Wednesday, but a trio of goals in the space of 10 minutes before stoppage time lifted The Red Devils to another three points.

After an empty first half, Alan threatened to win with ease against United with a successful penalty at the start of the second half. Robin van Persie, who replaced Danny Welbeck, found the back of the net on the 80th minute to equalize.

Nuno Coelho’s unfair challenge against Wayne Rooney enabled the England striker to take an 85th-minute penalty that he took for himself to score. Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez rallied towards the end by beating keeper Beto’s woodwork defence.
